Project Summary
Beattys designed and manufactured the Turret 35 marine cardan shaft system connecting the 1600hp from the twin MTU engines, via the ZF gearboxes to the Hamilton Jet drive units. The performance of this vessel has been nothing short of outstanding, having travelled the 1,170 nautical miles from the Bay of Islands-NZ to the Gold Coast-Australia in a record time of just 36 hours. The design team at Beattys are excited for what is next working alongside Dave and Mitch and the great team at Voodoo.
